The Lifetime of Deaf and Deafblind 2
Ever wondered what it's like to live a lifetime in isolation—no communication, forced to learn in a language you can’t fully access? The Lifetime of Deaf and Deafblind 2 invites you into this world. Deaf artists Princess Dickey and Eddie Szczepanik, joined by hearing cast members, use storytelling and signed songs to share the highs and lows of growing up Deaf in a hearing world.
The story begins in the 1980s, when Szczepanik was diagnosed with a serious eye condition, and continues to today, where Dickey—originally from the Philippines—navigates learning a new signed language and culture in Australia.
A powerful glimpse into Deaf experiences across generations.
“You will not see a show that will fill you with more warmth. This is theatre that nourishes the soul.” ★★★★★ Isolated Nation
