Human Entertainment
Step into the warped mind of Noah Skape for his debut solo festival show — aclown-punk-cabaret collision of absurdity, poignancy, and sheer wow factor. Akaleidoscope of heightened characters, manic skits, and musical numbers thatricochet from laugh-out-loud chaos to unexpectedly human truths. Armed with an underused weapon — found audio — Noah weavessoundscapes like a collage artist, blending samples, original music, and punk energyto conjure vivid worlds inside a black box theatre. It’s an unrelenting variety-musicalfever dream that you are almost guaranteed to see a little bit of yourself in. Not onlymaking light of the dark, but also singing songs about it, this is for fans of musicaltheatre, alternative performance, and punk rock with a side of beautiful madness.
Presented by: The Blue Room Theatre & Noah Skape
Noah Skape is a boundary-pushing performer, songwriter, and theatre-maker whose work fuses punk rock energy with theatrical spectacle. Known for his anarchic live band shows and genre-blurring productions, he has carved out a unique voice in Australia’s arts scenes. As an actor, he has worked with WA Opera, Perth Symphony Orchestra, and appeared in acclaimed films including The Furnace and He Ain’t Heavy. His sold-out festival productions, such as Specimens (Strange Festival 2024), combine live music, absurd comedy, and striking characters in unrelenting, high-octane worlds. A multi-instrumentalist and WAM-nominated songwriter, Noah’s art explores the chaos, humour, and fragility of being human, leaving audiences exhilarated, unsettled, and deeply entertained.
