Western Australia in Pictures and Songs
"I have seen many Fringe shows - this is one of the best. The story telling through photographs and songs is just fantastic." Linda F, FRINGE WORLD Audience Reacts 2026
A musical and historic journey around Western Australia. Historic photographs of WA from the late 19th and early 20th Centuries along with more contemporary images accompany original acoustic songs with strong WA themes composed by the performers. Songs are performed using voice and acoustic instruments by Boorloo/Perth based singer-songwriters Beth and Pinn.
"A great choice for the history buffs and anyone keen on new songwriting. A hearfelt and touching show." Kimberley Shaw, Stage Whispers
"A wonderfully thoughtfully evocative and entertaining show. Highly recommend." Wendi A, FRINGE WORLD Audience Reacts 2026

Presenter
Presented by: Peter Barry
After years working as an engineer in the mining industry, Gudgeon Pinn wrote a song about a mining company having to deliberately crash a train to save a town in WA. This effectively opened the floodgates and dozens more songs with Western Australian themes have poured out of him ever since. He hopes performing them for FRINGE WORLD audiences will bring some respite from the ongoing creative turmoil. He will be accompanied on the journey by the angelic voiced Bethany O'Brien, an extremely talented Boorloo/Perth based singer and songwriter who will preform her own songs in the show as well as providing her hauntingly beautiful vocals to some of Gudgeon's compositions.Social media
