We Are The Pythons
The North Perth Pythons are the second best men’s AFL team in WA… out of 2.
After countless wooden spoons and trips to Bali instead of playing finals, the Pythons are gearing up to make football history. This year they are desperate to beat the infamous South Perth Scorpions. But what happens when stupid things like emotions, egos and friendship bracelets get in the way of the game?
We Are The Pythons is a debut play featuring actors in drag, striking choreography, and an electrifying synth soundtrack that explores the AFL as the ultimate theatrical performance.
Is sport just theatre? Is grit an emotion? How many goals does it take to become the ‘ultimate man’?
If you resonate with rhinestones, consider Blades of Glory a five-star movie and frequent Kayo, we welcome you to the Pythons.
