This Machine Kills Fascists

Inspired by the life and work of Woody Guthrie, the legendary American folk singer.

"An unflinching assessment" British Theatre Guide, 2026

"Detailed-storytelling", "A strong ensemble" ★★★★★ The Clothesline, 2026

"A fantastic, tight piece of American history [...] clearly pointing to the parallels between Guthrie’s fight for equality and the tragic similarities of today’s issues in America." ★★★★ Glam Adelaide, 2026

Championing anti-racism, equality, and resistance to fascism, Guthrie has never been known to compromise. His constant conflicts with the possible things of this world come alive on stage - politicians, big corporations, guardians of the "American dream". It was in this fight, led not by a rifle, but by a guitar, that his famous motto was born: This Machine Kills Fascists.
