THE PRESENT

FRINGE favourites Jeffrey Jay Fowler and Sarah Reuben present THE PRESENT: a comedic and cathartic tale of Christmas woe. You’ll meet twins with different fathers (one rich, one poor); a miniature pet Portuguese milking cow; and a man with a rare gene that makes him incredibly tasty to sharks (whose daughter simply loves the beach). As Christmas approaches, the twins’ desperate quest for the perfect gift unleashes resentment, rivalry, and a whole lot of truth.

"The Present is a monstrous, magnificent and illuminatory journey through familial memories, brought to life by breathtaking tour de force performances." Stage Whispers, 2025

"The script crackles with rapid-fire dialogue [...] bouncing between sharp wit, emotional honesty and laugh-out-loud absurdity." Territory Taste, 2025
