Pull Up A Chair: Queer History Is Serving Lunch
Pull Up a Chair: Queer History Is Serving Lunch
Queer history has never been this delicious! Pull up a chair, share a meal and enjoy outrageous, moving and unforgettable stories from older LGBTI people who've lived through decades of love, liberation and a little misbehaviour.
Set in Perth's iconic Connections Nightclub, this is no ordinary lunch as older LGBTI storytellers dish up tales of first loves, secret lives, heartbreak and hard-won freedoms.
Inspired by GRAI's Our Voices collection, this event celebrates the people behind our queer history, in their own words, with all the humour, humanity and honesty that comes with a life well lived.
Come hungry, pull up a chair and leave with new friends and a fresh appreciation for the generations who helped make today's freedoms possible.

For more than 20 years, GRAI has been making life better for older LGBTI people in Western Australia. We believe everyone deserves to grow older with dignity, connection and the freedom to be themselves. Through social events, community programmes, advocacy and storytelling, we celebrate the lives of older LGBTI people, challenge discrimination and create spaces where everyone belongs. The Our Voices project captures the remarkable stories of people who lived through decades of change, including those who helped make today's freedoms possible. At GRAI, we believe queer history isn't just something to remember. It's something to share, celebrate and pass on to the next generation. Because growing older doesn't mean growing invisible.Social media
