Groove Terminator's History Of House Sound System
WORLD PREMIERE
TWO SHOWS ONLY
History of House Sound System takes the History of House idea out of the theatre and rebuilds it for the club. Unlike the award-winning collaboration with Soweto Gospel Choir, it gives Groove Terminator the freedom to explore the records that don’t fit that format — huge instrumentals, euphoric anthems, club weapons and defining dance tracks from 1990 to today. GT is joined by an ever-changing cast of live vocalists, performers and special guests, allowing every show to evolve around the room, the crowd and the music. It’s not a DJ set and it’s not a theatre show. It’s a fast, high-energy live club experience built around big records, live voices, unexpected moments and a packed dancefloor.

Simon “Groove Terminator” Lewicki has been at the centre of Australian dance music for over four decades. A pioneering DJ, producer and artist, he was the first Australian DJ signed to a major label and scored international club and chart hits as Groove Terminator and Chili Hi Fly. He later formed Tonite Only with Sam Littlemore, toured alongside Carl Cox, Underworld, The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, Moby and Prince, and created Ministry of Sound Classical. More recently, GT created History of House with five-time Grammy winners Soweto Gospel Choir. In 2025, Rolling Stone Australia named him one of the 50 Greatest Australian Electronic Artists of All Time. His sets draw on a lifetime in club culture, spanning house, disco and four decades of dance music.Social media
