Gavin Nicklette: Cabaret Roulette
Everyone's a winner in this game of musical chance, where Gavin “the Lady Gaga of the Jazz World” Nicklette treats you to an evening of intimate cabaret. A little spin of the Wheel of Chance helps guide the show, guaranteeing that every night is unique.
Gavin is known for sharing jazz/pop-fused versions of your favourite songs paired with hilarious - and sometimes heart-wrenching - stories, you'll never hear these songs in the same way again.
"Nicklette takes a song and intuitively strips it of pretence, recomposing it into a simplified yet powerful piece of music – no-one arranges like Nicklette. He is a musical alchemist, creating magic in every chord." ★★★★½ Fourth Wall Media, 2021

Presenter
Presented by: Gavin Nicklette
Known for unique reinterpretations of well-known pop songs with a jazzy twist, Gavin Nicklette comes alive on the keys. He started learning to play at age 5 and went on to study jazz performance at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Gavin has played/toured with the West Australian Youth Jazz Orchestra, Oz Big Band, Fred Wesley (US trombonist and arranger for James Brown's Big Band), Grace Knight, James Morrison and other Australian artists, wowing sold-out audiences. Dedicated to sharing jazz flavours with people who might not realise they even like the genre, Gavin is a man on mission. He's passionate about reinventing the standard jazz gig to not only sound great, but also entertain the other senses. Listeners should be prepared to fall in love with music again.Social media
