Breaking Gags: Xavier Susai and David Hughes
Comedy headliners Xavier Susai and David Hughes (UK) are cooking up a punchy hour of stand-up, with neither prepared to let the other steal the show. Xavier brings worldly stories and a history of questionable decisions. David brings dry British bite and a background writing jokes for Mock the Week. Back together this year at FRINGE WORLD, they’re mixing big stories, quick detours and a little friendly sabotage. Both would like you to know the best bits were their idea.

Presented by: Grassroots Comedy
Grassroots Comedy is on a mission to build a world-class comedy scene in Perth. Led by Managing Director and comedian Xavier Susai, we connect talented performers, develop original shows and give audiences more reasons to get out for a laugh. Breaking Gags brings that ambition to the stage through Xavier’s collaboration with British comedy writer and performer David Hughes, whose credits include Mock the Week. Shows like this help us grow audiences, create opportunities for comedians and build a stronger culture of live comedy beyond festival season. We want people to discover performers they love, have a proper laugh and make comedy a regular night out.
