An Imaginary Life
An intimate, compelling duet for actor and musician, An Imaginary Life is performed by Humphrey Bower (Things I Know To Be True, The Tempest) and live musician Pavan Kumar Hari (Reach for the Sky, The Tempest) with nothing but themselves, their instruments and a single light illuminating Hackett Hall.
It is a story about learning to live wherever we find ourselves.
The Ancient Roman poet Ovid is living in exile on the edge of the Black Sea, and encounters a ‘wild child’. He teaches the child to speak and learns about the child’s connection to nature and life.
Adapted from the classic Australian novel by David Malouf.
