Boy, what a night. This show is built around a simple idea: the pre-act has to keep going because the famous main act isn’t ready yet. That pre-act is Bobbie, and by the end of it, we were honestly glad the headliner never showed up. Bobbie absolutely carried the night.

The jokes were sharp and well-written, often hitting on more than one level. His material is very current too — politics, recent news, and Perth itself all get a solid roast. Nothing felt dated or thrown together, and a few bits clearly landed harder because they were tailored to the local crowd.

What really sets him apart is how many skills he brings into the set. Bobbie can sing, rap, and dance, and makes use of all his talents on stage. The music sections were the highlight and had everyone laughing hard.

There’s some crowd interaction, but it’s kept light and optional, so even people with social anxiety won’t feel put on the spot. Overall, an unreal night. 10/10, would definitely go again when he’s back next year.
