Oh my goodness! We danced like we were 18, and then after our bodies reminded us we are actually 43, it was totally worth it!

Y2K The Millenium Party was a 90 minute journey through iconic 90s and 00s music. Music that defined a generation. A HUGE thank you to DJ Wildflower! I arrived never having heard of DJ Wildflower and left searching where she is performing and how we can find her in the wild (AKA outside of Fringe). I have seriously gushed about her to anyone who will listen in the time between seeing her perform and writing this review. She is the definition of an entertainer! Love love love!

The party started with DJ Wildflower mixing the beats joined by two dancers in way more fluro/sequins/mesh/etc than I want to remember from the 90s and 00s, Dean Misdale joined the party to belt out a few favourites. Then, completely unexpected, we were treated to a burlesque performance that was great fun and performed by a clearly very skilled dancer. More djing, more dancing, a power ballad by Misdale, and more djing.

None stop entertainment for the whole 90 minutes (and perhaps a bit longer as we were left with some great songs to exit to, a few of us took our time heading out of the club).  The show promised a throwback to the days when the dancefloors were packed, and we certainly got that. Despite the 6.30pm timeslot, the dance floor was pumping. I will admit that I had forgotten quite how much dancing in the 90s and 00s was just jumping up and down of the spot. No need to worry about fancy footwork just jump in time with the crowd.

A brilliant show, this really was the ultimate throwback show for the 90s and 00s folks who still can’t quite believe that the 90s weren’t just 10 years ago!
