Bernie Dieter’s Club Kabarett is the best show I have seen at Fringe in a long time.

This is a show that provides everything you would look for in a cabaret show and more. The performers are amazing, the costumes are terrific and the music creates the mood.

Bernie Dieter opens the show in her signature part punk, part sexy kitten style outfit dripping in sequins to the applause of all the excited audience who have braved the heat to come to this amazing show. Her vocals and crowd work keep the audience delighted, hoping for some excitement to come their way - maybe the joy of having Bernie on their lap.

The acts were numerous, and each one was better than the other ( if this is possible). The aerial performers were amazing and the trapeze artiste sisters made one wonder what sort of hair these two gifted girls were born with. To be suspended in the air with a clip through their top bun made me shiver with fear and excitement. The fire breathing, sword swallowing artiste was another act that made one cringe with fear and trepidation. What sort of throat was this lovely lass gifted with!!!

Then of course there is the lovely rubber lady who performed amazing acts making her body look like a piece of rubber that could be twisted into any shape.

This show is evocative, inspiring, and breathtaking and makes one want to come back every year for a repeat of this wonderful experience.
