Award-winning comedian and Canadian academy award-nominated actress Aliya Kanani debuts her new show, taking us on her colourful journey of self-reflection.
After a few days in a Scottish hospital in the middle of her first Edinburgh Fringe, Aliya was forced to ask herself some tough questions, like "What is the meaning of life?" and “Is it supposed to be that colour?”
She set off on a mission to find some answers, in India, at a healing and mediation centre where she practiced with a yoga master for 37 days. She went for answers, but returned with more questions!
Balancing comedy and life lessons, plus a tiny lil' existential crisis somewhere in the middle... we got ourselves a show!

ALIYA KANANI is a Toronto-based award-winning comedian and Canadian academy award-nominated actress, writer and vagabond, known for her playful and mischievous personality.
Aliya recently took part at the 2023 Johannesburg International Comedy Festival. She has showcased with Standup NBC in New York at the renowned Gotham Comedy Club, making it to the semi-finals of the nationwide competition. She's performed in festivals around the world including the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival, JFL42 and Chicago’s Breakout Comedy Festival.
Her solo show 'Where You From, From?' won 'Best of Fest' at Ottawa Fringe 2023 & 'Patron's Pick' at Toronto Fringe.
She still brags that her greatest accomplishment is the time she made a man throw up from laughing too hard.
