Yagan Square Dance

Kick off Fringe World's Alive All Hours supported by City of Perth

Yagan Square Dance is a free, all-ages, participatory celebration of the dances that have brought people together across generations and cultures. Follow along as we move through some of the world’s best-known dance crazes – from the conga and the Time Warp to the Macarena and the Nutbush.

No experience? No problem. The steps are simple, the music is irresistible and everyone is invited to join in.

Professional dancers showcase their talents and teach the crowd the moves. Specialists in latin, ballroom, street and line dancing will get you on your feet.

Hosted by Step By Step and headline DJ set from The Beatles Dub Club.

Part performance, part dance lesson and one enormous community dance party.
