The Chair of Saint Peter (& Other Games)
Behind closed doors, the Vatican awaits white smoke. But this conclave doesn’t just pray — it plays. Ritual collides with absurdity as cardinals battle through games of chance, strategy, and silliness to claim the throne. The Chair of Saint Peter (& Other Games) is a sharp, satirical new work from WA’s next generation of theatre-makers, fusing comedy and critique to interrogate faith, authority, and complicity. World premiering at Summer Nights 2026, this 50-minute proof-of-concept invites audiences to laugh, question, and reflect on why we follow, and who we let lead.
