20 January – 14 February

This show belongs to the FRINGE WORLD Festival 2026 season. This season is now over.

Against a vibrant pink and orange backdrop with a stylised yellow sun. A person wearing a black crop top, oversized denim jacket decorated with pins, and knee-length cargo shorts. One hand is in their pocket, while the other loosely holds a small doll dressed in bright pink. Their expression is calm and direct, giving the portrait a mix of softness and attitude.

Call Me Mother

A new mum reflects on their existence as a queer bodied person and how the patriarchy has f***ed them from the moment they were born, right through to the birth of their son. As a nonbinary queer person, Scarlet has slowly come to terms with their identity and their place in society, AND THEN… they fell pregnant. Call Me Mother discusses what it is to be perceived as something you are not, how our bodies work for and against us, and how the world tells us who we are as soon as we pop out of the womb. Join us for an evening where we question what it is to be defined by what’s between our legs. Bring an open heart and expect raw storytelling, rage, and a touch of whimsy.
