The Fringe Fund

You can help our artists shine by making a donation to the Fringe Fund when you purchase a FRINGE WORLD ticket.

The Fringe Fund helps artists shine through a range of support, development and presentation opportunities including the most generous cash prize pool of any Fringe Festival in the world for award-winning productions.

Fringe Fund is an initiative of the Not-For-Profit cultural organisation and registered charity Artrage Inc. the producer of FRINGE WORLD.

Launched in 2016, the Fringe Fund is one of the many initiatives managed by Artrage and FRINGE WORLD that have the future aspirations and success of artists at their heart.

Perth Lockdown and FRINGE WORLD
Due to the impact of cancellations and new restrictions in response to the recent outbreak of COVID-19 in Western Australia, all donations made through the Fringe Fund will go towards the artists impacted.

With 50% of tickets for many upcoming shows needing to be cancelled/refunded and shows during this last week have all been cancelled, our artists are feeling a huge financial strain.

A huge thank you to the incredible people who have donated and supported our artists over the last week. So far over $57,000 has been raised through the Fringe Fund!

We would like to make special mention to some significant donations from the Ungar Family Foundation; Festival partner Woodside who has gone the extra mile to match employee donations; and Gage Roads Brew Co. who has topped up the Fringe Fund through sales from Hello Sunshine cider.

Our artists are facing considerable losses and the more donations received, the more you can lessen the blow of the necessary lockdown and closures.

We take donations throughout the Festival through the Fringe Fund, with funds raised normally going to artists for Award grants and other artist support. Due to the impact of cancellations, we will be directing all Fringe Funds raised during the 2021 Festival to support the artists impacted. Funds will be distributed fairly to the artists.
