What a joy to watch! Shake It Off Show takes you on a trip down memory lane, starting right at the beginning of Taylor Swift’s career, more than 20 years ago, right up to the current 'The Life of a Showgirl' album. Perth’s own, Emily Joy, plays hit after hit after hit, with songs interspersed with stories of Tay-Tay’s career highlights (and low lights) from her journey through the music industry.

As a self-professed Taylor super-fan, Emily Joy’s talented performance is engaging from beginning to end. Her guitar playing, her voice, her smile…just gorgeous, and everything is played live, not a backing track in sight! The show is jam-packed with songs; it truly is full to the brim, oh, and Emily Joy looks the part, too!

Throughout the Shake It Off Show, Emily Joy is joined on stage by two dancers, who only add to the feel-good vibes. A professional musician, Emily Joy clearly loves what she does and that filters through to the audience who were singing, dancing and smiling throughout the one-hour performance. I only wish more people were in the audience to enjoy the Shake it Off Show at this year’s FRINGE WORLD festival.

A flawlessly delivered celebration of Taylor Swift’s musical prowess. I look forward to following Emily Joy’s career success as a singer-songwriter.
