The Underground: Dédalo
I have seen two ‘Underground’ performances in previous years, and came back for more! And as before, this was easily one of the best shows this Fringe. World class high energy dancing, ultra sexy without over the top raunch, great singing and electrifying soundtrack, all weaved into a dramatic intriguing story and moments of laughter and emotion! This year’s host Maria has natural audience rapport and charisma too! Hoping to see the cast again next year!

Somebody to Love
Tori's energetic musical comedy show hilariously and poignantly explores online dating. With a very impressive vocal range, Tori belts out witty songs, instantly connecting with the audience and seamlessly switching from laugh-out-loud mishaps to heartfelt moments. A must-see night out!

Michael Shafar - Lots to Say
I have seen Michael’s other show ‘Well Worth the Chemo’ last year, and came back for more! One of the highlights of the Fringe, he certainly has ‘lots to say’ about the world, with his trademark dry humour, political incorrectness and pushing boundaries whilst remaining quite polished! And coming in late, I even got my moment of fame being part of the show!:) Hope to see him again next year, and looking into the podcast meanwhile:)

All That She Wants: Wild Women of Comedy
I went to this on a whim to hopefully discover funny women comedians. I was wrong & I left feeling uncomfortable. The “funny” sex topics came off to me as sad, uncreative, disturbing, cringe, & male-centric (ironic). Hearing about how you can masturbate in public was creepy. If a man tried to spin this as comedy, I’d feel sick. Only Anna was funny. Disappointed. For the $24 I spent, I could have donated it right to the girl’s school charity so a new generation can learn to write funnier jokes.

Doug Bayne - Only God can Judge Me
I found the show a little bit over the top in terms of absurdity but nonetheless it was funny and entertaining enough! Particularly enjoyed the ‘killing’ of a font size! Really don’t know how Doug comes up with the ideas!
