Government House

This building is the official residence of the Governor of Western Australia. It’s located in the CBD and was built in the 1860’s.

The ballroom is being used as a performance space this FRINGE WORLD Festival. You can see performances like Birth of the Blues! Simone Craddock Combo – see more events here.

 

His Majesty’s Theatre

Also located in the CBD is His Majesty’s Theatre. It was constructed in the early 1900’s and is an Edwardian Baroque theatre.

This festival, you can catch Girls Gone ABBA – The Sounds of Mamma Mia! and more. Browse more shows at His Majesty’s Theatre here.

 

The Regal Theatre

Venturing a little out of the city, you can find The Regal Theatre in Subiaco. It was built in 1936 and used as a theatre for film. In 1977, it was converted to a live performance space.

Girls School

Constructed in the 1930’s, this Egyptian art-deco building stands in East Perth. It was originally a real girls’ school until it became a police station. Now, it’s home to some of Perth’s coolest events.

During the winter months, the Main Hall at Girls School has been used as a cozy cinema.

Girls school is returning as a FRINGE WORLD Festival hub in 2022 with nine performance spaces with awesome shows like GODZ.

Lamont's Bishops House

Lamont's Bishop’s House was constructed in 1859 for the first Anglican Bishop of Western Australia, Mathew Blagden Hale. When this venue isn't Fringing, the gorgeous building anmagnificent gardens host a multi-level restaurant and popular wedding venue.

The National Hotel

Originally built as a shop in 1868, it was occupied by the National Bank in the early 1880s. When the bank relocated in 1886, the building became the National Hotel. The building now plays host to a bar and restaurant which encompases the very best of traditional values and the quality and vibe of modern hospitality.

The National Hotel is hosting National Comedy Fringe Showcase in 2022.

 

DADAA FREMANTLE

DADAA Fremantle is located at the Old Fremantle Boys' School which was designed by William Ayshford Sanford and was built by convict labour between February 1853 and 1854, with additions in 1910. Today, the space holds visual and digital arts studios, a contemporary art gallery, a cinema, and a cafe.

Established in 1891, the WA Museum Boola Bardip sees a mix of heritage and contemporary architecture and celebrates the unique culture, history and landscape of Western Australia along with some awesome Fringe events all summer long!
