Elixir Revived is a feast for the senses. I’ve experienced Head First Acrobats’ other hit shows, GODZ and RAILED, at FRINGE WORLD Festival before, so my expectations for a night filled with talent, cheek - in both senses of the word - and laughter were high. Fortunately, the show didn’t disappoint.

Set in an experimental pharmaceutical laboratory, you're led on an unhinged adventure as scientists in search of the elixir of life become the guinea pigs. Who knew the secret to expert knife throwing, awe-inspiring acrobatic skills and dramatic feats of strength - including the ability to be suspended mid-air by mere jaw strength - were hidden in a mysterious mixture of brightly coloured tinctures?

Despite the questionable dosages, the elixirs fueled the comical mayhem seamlessly. With surprise musical performances and a well-timed dance to Michael Jackson’s classic 'Thriller', this troupe’s talent knows no bounds. Their banter with the audience was hard to resist, including a few saucy spanks and even a tender moment between a bald man’s head and a disembodied arm.

Elixir Revived, and its leading men are an entertaining concoction of talented and hilarious. If you’re after a show that captures the essence of FRINGE WORLD, look no further.
