A good night of local comedy that felt like a room full of capable comics finding their feet again. It was a hot night with some jokes that came in to land and a few that crashed and burned, but still made us laugh our socks off!

As MC, Shaun Collier was sharp and in control, keeping the show moving smoothly. His timing and crowd management gave the night a bit of local WA flair, and I'm keen to see his full set.

Lachie Skinner and Gary Sansome both had solid moments, though their sets felt a little rusty. It’s still early in the festival, and these promising acts will soon find their groove, so keep an eye out for their next sets.

Tai Grey was the clear standout. His material was tight, confident and delivered with a calm assurance that cut through the heat and the hesitancy elsewhere in the lineup.

Overall, a good show with flashes of real quality. A worthwhile night for Perth comedy fans who enjoy seeing local acts work things out live on stage.
