If you want to laugh so hard your face hurts, look no further! Improv DnD is as the title suggests: improvised Dungeons & Dragons. Now, if you have never heard of DnD it is a roleplaying game that sees people expressing their creativity together as they explore magical lands of epic proportions. Or, you know, a magical high school.

Join BS Productions as they lead you through a night unlike any other, literally. Every night is different from the last as the story unfolds. Our three players stumbled through their first day of magic school with classes like Zoology, Defence Against the Performing Arts and… Taxation? With each unique punchline funnier than the last, you are sure to be in tears.

The teachers and headmaster of this school had the whole audience in stitches. Each a completely different personality from the last, had the cast demonstrating just how talented they really are. So what if the dressing-gown-wearing lion headmaster wants to be invited to student parties? He’s cool. Probably.

A highlight of the night was the pigeonholing ceremony. This was where our three players discovered what house they belonged to after they were pigeonholed by a pair of pyjamas. It really was as strange as it sounds.

The beauty in this show comes from the fast thinking of the cast as they seamlessly weave a story together that at any moment could go in any direction. We witnessed a wizard who found her true calling, a bard who found an unlikely mentor, and a warlock who found his “conscience”.

Did I mention there are musical numbers too? There was spontaneous song, dance, and even a ska rap battle. All the while, the show was accompanied by improvised keyboard that elevated the atmosphere to another level.

In Improv DnD every night is a continuation on from the next, so it is a show you do not want to miss this year or next!
