Scarlet Bell Burlesque has really outdone themselves this year with their hot and steamy spectacle of their students’ talents. This is a show that celebrates the female body in all its forms and all its glory. It’s impressive, it’s inspiring and it’s one to remember!

The voluptuous ringmistress, Sugar Du Joure, hosts the evening as she mingles amongst the crowd and beckons unbeknownst audience members to the stage for a lesson in nipple tassels and traditional twerking. Once everyone is warmed up and ready, she introduces each act with her tongue-in-(butt)cheek humour. The dancers then take to the stage to showcase their unique twists of mythological creatures and common vaudeville characters.

From the flexibility of the seven deadly sins, to the naughtiness of the circus clowns, each routine has something different to offer the eager audience. There are chairs, there are whips, there are MILFs and there are costumes that you could die for! And with a backing of 80s and 90s classics, this show sure is a crowd-pleaser.

A particular shout-out should go to the witty weightlifter who is not only plump and proud, but blends gender roles and stereotypes with both strength and sensuality. A hilarious performer who should not be missed!
