Walking through Northbridge is quite a sight on a Saturday night, wouldn’t you agree? You wrestle through the crowds of mullets and platform sneakers, your heart vibrates with the thumping bass and you hopscotch to avoid half-eaten kebabs and ponds of puke. But then, finally, you see those beautiful pink gates and are transported to another world, FRINGE WORLD. With fairy lights and ferris wheels, Woodside Pleasure Gardens is a much-welcomed oasis and haven from reality. Yet little did we know that once Off Chops began, we would soon be transported back to the carnage of a Saturday night out… in a good way!

From preloading and taking far too many shots, to that sweet sweet satisfaction of greasy carbohydrates at 3am, Jessica Smart and Ella Norton from YUCK Circus take you on that drunken rite of passage of going out out. Through their expressive faces and interpretation of your worst dance moves, the super talented performers hilariously transform themselves into those notorious nightclub characters we know all too well.

Their acrobatics poke fun at how cool we think we look when we try to reenact Dirty Dancing at every nightclub we visit (or is that just me?). And they visit hugely relatable themes that make you reminisce with a sense of bittersweet nostalgia and keep the audience cackling from start to finish.

So if you’re looking for a show that makes you howl with laughter, ooooh at high-flying acrobatics and cheer as you watch an epic battle of bouncer vs eshay, then do not miss Off Chops.

Perfect for a night out with the girls.

Perfect for a date with your best bud.

Perfect for any guy who has always wondered why the heck it takes girls so long in the bathroom.
