On a 40 degree day we comfortably sat in a very well ventilated tent, The Gold Digger. It is very different to the cruise ships that the sensational host and vocalist, Lisa Woodbrook is used to!

Lisa, with her two talented back up dancers, was a natural comic and entertainer. I wasn’t sure how one person was going to smash out so many 90s hits, but I was pleasantly surprised!

In their silver ‘al-foil’ costumes, they began with tracks from Robbie Williams and Backstreet Boys and did not skimp on energy or enthusiasm despite the very hot day.

Lisa took us back to our 90s lifestyle every now and then, and reminded us of things like My Space, Blackberry’s and Tamagotchis. Lisa’s amazing vocals pulled off bangers from groups like S Club 7, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Cher and Beyonce, before having the crowd in hysterics.

Her crowd interaction is warm and friendly. Anita, a lady from the front row, was serenaded to a classical version of ‘Get Low’ just before another audience member was pulled onto the dance floor and forced to dance (?) with Lisa. It was very awkward but hilarious! I was wiping tears!

We had more hits from Aqua, Shania Twain and the Spice Girls before we got up and danced to a mashup of all our favourites.

Lisa is larger than life and has travelled the globe with award winning shows. If you want to have a lot of fun singing and dancing, make sure you check this one out!
