When you’re handed a coloured Among Us beanie, Nerf guns, and a bag of Nerf bullets as you walk into a show, you know you’re in for a wild ride. Game On 3 is back at Perth Fringe, bringing the next level of live-action video game fun, thanks to the endlessly energetic entertainer Matty Grey.

This is high-energy adventure that will delight adults and kids alike. Watching the grown-ups in the audience (myself included) shed their inhibitions and dive into the chaos was just as entertaining as the show itself!

So let’s start at the beginning where the scene was set – a murder had taken place on a spaceship. Our mission is to solve the mystery and unmask the killer. Through a series of clues, high jinks and a lot of laughter we all worked together in this
wonderfully absurd adventure. Real-life versions of video games had us dodging, racing, and collaborating, while the trivia-filled quizzes revealed fascinating titbits about the history of gaming.

For the adults in the room, it was a nostalgic trip down memory lane. I’d love to share my favourite fun facts, but I’ll leave them as a surprise. This is a show you need to experience firsthand!.

Matty is clearly a master at engaging an audience and creating an entertaining environment for everyone. His infectious energy and knack for creating an inclusive, playful atmosphere make Game On 3 an absolute must-see. Whether you’re a child or just young at heart, this is hands-down one of the best entertainment options at Perth Fringe this year.
