A Capella Dance party features the vocals of Steph Gooch, Kate Humphries and Sophie Rogers and the drumbeats by Danica Brooks. Together they form the group Meadowlark.

The show was brought to life in the intimate setting of the Four5Nine bar and the enthusiasm of the vocalists. The sparkly clothes, and interactive nature of the vocalists allowed for the audience to engage from the beginning of the set.

As the songs are in acapella form, they are rearranged to suit the style of singing without vocal music. For each song, the vocalists took turns being the lead singer and the other two singers providing rhythmic backing.

The further Meadowlark went into their set, the more the crowd loosened up and start moving and shaking.

Meadowlark did slow down the pace towards the middle of the set, before speeding it back and getting the crowd dancing their dorky moves. This included one of the vocalists who reminded me of Elaine from Seinfeld.

While the set was entertaining to watch, the vocalists did have a couple of technical issues.

The 50-minute set ended with a mashup of a few songs and Meadowlark thanking the audience, FRINGE WORLD, the volunteers and the venue.
