Bogan girls rocked the tent tonight.

Challenging every sexual stereotype flung at them, the women of YUCK Circus out ladded the lads as they spun, swung, twisted and turned their way through a series of moves that had the audience dazzled and laughing.

From tradie strip shows, roller skating and beer can balancing to bin chicken trapezing, invisible netballing and a little bit of sexy magic, this wonderful troupe of 5 performers combined artistry and poise with racy humour and hilarious hijinks in a show that delighted and surprised.

The props were Ozzie as an outback ostrich (Vegemite t-shirts and tinnies), while the MC resembled a female version of Paul Hogan’s mate, Strop. And complementing the visuals was a superbly selected playlist of Classic Rock Riffing numbers to tie in with the moves and get the fists pumping and the cockles boiling.

The real joy of the show was the combination of their extraordinary talent and the laugh out loud way in which it was presented. The humour was saucy and irreverent and the tone was light and fun but the skill level was astonishing. You couldn’t help but marvel as one of the performers made magic moves with the hula hoops or another one flew through the air in a series of daring, tendon stretching moves, all the while staying in true blue character.

YUCK Circus: DEADSET was more than circus. It was more than comedy. It poked sticks at toxic masculinity and it enthralled and made you laugh all at the same time.

A rip-roaring night of fun and fabulous feats that should definitely be checked out. You’d be mad if you missed it – dead set, mate.

It’s bloody bonza.
