Crushers Comedy Gala has returned to The Rechabite for FRINGE WORLD 2022, and festival-goers are in for a fast-paced, talent-fuelled treat.

Serving up the entree as opener and host for the evening is Emo. He perfectly sets the scene, welcoming the sold-out room to what is set to be an epic Festival season. Emo creates big energy and waves of laughter through the audience, which continue for the show’s duration.

The main showcase is an all-star lineup of comedians who dish up their best material during a punchy, five-minute set - and each absolutely crushes it.

Crushers Comedy features three to five ‘crushers’ delivering some of the most golden comedic material. Each show features different comedians, which creates an ever-changing, unique, and memorable experience. Tonight, at Perth’s most attractive hub for all things Fringe were Luke Joseph Ryan, Nicky Wilkinson, Jacques Barrett, Cameron McLaren, Frankie Rowsthorn, and Squirly.

This energetic lineup is the perfect mix of eccentric comedians, plot-twisting acts, and a small-town charmer with big-time jokes. A standout for this installment of Crushers Comedy was Jacques Barrett. This quick-witted international headliner has a socially progressive approach to comedy. He perfectly juggles dark humour and social subject matters - mindfully adapting to his audience and generating roaring laughter in the most respectful of ways.

Crushers Comedy Gala is highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a fast-paced, action-packed variety show with the perfect atmosphere. Dubbed as the standout comedy show of FRINGE WORLD, it is destined to be a sell-out Festival favourite and is not one to miss.
