Studio Suite at State Theatre Centre of WA

Located on the corner of Roe and William Streets in Northbridge, the State Theatre Centre of Western Australia opened to audiences in 2011. Known for state-of-the-art spaces including the Heath Ledger Theatre and Studio Underground, it's also home to Northbridge's best-kept secret The Courtyard, a stunning beneath-the-stars outdoor venue, and the ever shape-shifting performance space Rehearsal Room 1.

Since its inception in 2020, STATE OF PLAY - the State Theatre Centre's indepdendent FRINGE WORLD hub - has been attracting huge audiences with over 21,000 tickets sold in 2024. Providing a platform for homegrown talent and transforming the theatre into a vibrant space for around 30 productions every year, there's something for everyone!

Our 2025 season will run from 17 January to 2 February; we are so excited to showcase a fantastic mix of local and national artists. So come and join us and have a fantastic night of FRINGE at STATE OF PLAY!
