Tivoli Theatre

The Tivoli Club of WA holds a unique place in the entertainment scene of Western Australia - being the only non-professional theatre that produces three variety/cabaret shows throughout the year. Founded originally in 1971 by Jack "Skinny" Martin to do a restricted number of shows, it was found that the real "Old Time Vaudville" entertainment proved popular with audiences. In 1973 the Club found a permanent home in the Applecross District Hall, now referred to as the Tivoli Theatre. It was at this time the Trembath School of Dance was approached to provide dancers for the shows. Many artists have had their first stage experience at the Tivoli Club including Rochelle Durkin, past Soprano at the Metropolitan Opera New York; Tammy MacIntosh, Actress; Jackie Love Singer/Dancer; Patricia Stephenson; Colin Hurley; Peter McIlroy. Several of our former performers have gone on to perform at the Moulin Rouge, Stage Productions (such as Wicked and Mamma Mia) and on Cruise Ships.
