About this event

Journal of the Forest is an action-filled adventure that will enchant people of all ages. Join our traveller as she experiences a mystical adventure filled with joyful wonder.

What mystery lies ahead? Will they find friendly woodland spirits or trickster goblins? Come adventure with us and see what awaits whilst we follow this story.

Inspired by the Spiderwick Chronicles, this is circus-cabaret with a difference. Our Traveller will be joined in the forest by jugglers, trapeze artists, contortionists and more. Journal of the Forest is accessible to the hearing impaired and perfect for anyone looking for a relaxed, family-friendly performance.

Hi, I'm Mia, director of Angel of the Forest Productions. Formed in 2024, Fringe 2025 will be Angel of the Forest Productions’ first season. Even so, the company brings a combined wealth of local and international experience.
As the Director, I have been training in circus skills since I was 10 years old. I made my debut in the Magpie Tent of the 2019 European Juggling Convention performing with the Circus Central (UK) Five Ring Circus.
After relocating to Perth, I joined the Cirquest Youth Troupe. I featured as a solo performer within the sold-out R/Evolve show at the 2021 Perth Fringe Festival. Last year I developed my first show as director - 'Mystic Forest Cabaret', hosted by Cirquest.
My skills as a networker led to the development of Angel of the Forest Productions. Having trained and performed around the world, I've met some amazing performers. Both local emerging and established international acts are joining me for the ‘Journal of the Forest’.
