Our team is on the up!

FRINGE WORLD Festival is produced by the non-for-profit cultural organisation ARTRAGE Inc, and the ARTRAGE team has had a refresh to enable expansion into new creative projects.

ARTRAGE CEO Sharon Burgess said that with FRINGE WORLD Festival cemented as the third largest Fringe in the world, the organisation behind it, ARTRAGE, is in a strong position to expand its project slate.

“The recent departure of our Festival Director has given us the opportunity to review our team structure and to invest in developing our existing talent,” Ms Burgess said.

The team update will see these existing ARTRAGE team members have their roles expanded to achieve the organisation’s growth vision:

  • Justin Marshman is appointed ARTRAGE Creative Producer. Justin's focus is on establishing new creative projects and he is currently overseeing the delivery of a 2021 winter arts activation for the City of Perth.
  • Courtney Meagher is appointed as ARTRAGE Cinema and Project Producer to develop new events and build on the success of her management of Rooftop Movies and Girls School Cinema.
  • Ruth Morris is appointed as FRINGE WORLD Head of Programming, leading the Festival program team with particular focus on increasing opportunities for our Western Australian artistic talent.

“These team members are all highly skilled producers and creative specialists, having worked in the arts industry for many years in Australia and overseas. I’m excited to see what they achieve in these roles,” Ms Burgess said.

The organisation is also recruiting for a Senior Partnership Coordinator, with applications closing 10 May.

In WA’s arts and cultural landscape ARTRAGE currently ranks 1st for operating revenue and 2nd for total patron engagement (behind the State Library and WA Museum) based on an 19/20 Annual Report analysis conducted by Business News.
