Get ready to Paint the Town Fringe, first tickets on sale now!

Absolutely everyone in Western Australia is invited to have the best summer yet with early release tickets now on sale for FRINGE WORLD Festival 2021.

Early release shows are the first taster of what’s in store at the 2021 Festival and FRINGE WORLD Festival Director Amber Hasler said that the shows highlight the incredible talent we have locally and in wider Australia.

“WA is the best place to be right now and FRINGE WORLD will be the most fun place to enjoy all that’s good about summertime in our sensational state,” Ms Hasler said.

“The early release shows include some of the highlight experiences you can have at Perth’s favourite festival playground, The Woodside Pleasure Garden, where you can enjoy Deadset, the new show from YUCK Circus, the sultry cabaret ARCANA: The Order of the Divine and in COMA audiences are invited to slip into a collective dream.”

“At Girls School the ridiculously popular Briefs! boys will reveal their new show THE BITE, Matt Hale brings his new comedy hypnotist show, BONKERS! and 4some of Awesome Take a Break return with their popular sideshow act that will leave you wondering what on earth you just saw and wanting more.”

One-man cabaret tour-de-force Reuben Kaye returns to Perth with a double whammy of his new self-titled show and a highly anticipated late-night variety show, The Kaye Hole, both at The Rechabite.

Also in the City you can experience FREAKSHOW: An Interactive Murder Mystery at Connections Nightclub, The Incorrect Stand-Up Comedy Show at Cheeky Sparrow and The Ellington Jazz Club continue to present one of the strongest live music programs in the Festival.

Outside of City, Freo.Social will have you rocking to The Rhythm Spectacular - The Music of Stevie Wonder, ANTIGONE Sophocles Adaptation by Jane Hille is at the Maali Mia Theatre,

Subilicious return with a delightful range of theatre and family events through the Subiaco area and there’s even comedy as far afield as Kalamunda.

The early release also coincides with the launch of the new FRINGE WORLD app, which ARTRAGE CEO Sharon Burgess said is a game-changer for artists and customers alike.

“The FRINGE WORLD app is a must to download; it’s where you can get personalised recommendations, access your tickets and use the Shake to Search function to find a random show starting near you,” Ms Burgess said.

“For customers it’ll be super easy to find what you want to see with the app. For our artists the app is allowing them the flexibility to get their show on sale as soon as they need to, which means we’ll have more shows added to the Festival over the coming months and as/when the border requirements change.”

The FRINGE WORLD app is the most ambitious of any Fringe festival; fitting for FRINGE WORLD which is the third-largest Fringe in the world.  The app has been developed with WA digital company Equilibrium thanks to support from Woodside.

FRINGE WORLD Friends subscribers can purchase Early Release tickets from 12 November and the general public can purchase them from 17 November. The full  2021 Festival program will be released on 26 November, with some shows on sale later.

FRINGE WORLD has made a range of changes to support artists and customers to engage fully in the Festival despite the COVID-19 restrictions. For artists and participants some fees have been waivered or deferred til after the Festival, and artists have greater flexibility than ever before to participate. Customers will also have peace of mind that if a show is cancelled or if they have COVID-19 symptoms they can get a refund.

The 2021 FRINGE WORLD Festival runs January 15 January to 14 February at more than 120 venues. With tickets now on sale, West Aussies are encouraged to buy early, buy lots and make the most of the 2021 FRINGE WORLD Festival!

FRINGE WORLD gratefully recognises the support of its partners including: Principal Supporter: Lotterywest; Government Partners: the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and the City of Perth; and Principal Partners: Woodside; and Gage Roads Brew Co.
