ARTRAGE, the presenter behind FRINGE WORLD Festival, Rooftop Movies and Girls School Cinema, has today revealed its pilot 4-Day Work Week to be a great success.

From 6 September to 1 October, the non-for-profit registered cultural charity implemented a 4-Day Work Week with the aims of fostering a better work/life balance for the team and improving organisational productivity, all while maintaining the existing paying conditions for staff.

Staff and stakeholders were regularly surveyed throughout the pilot to gauge the impact of the 4-Day Work Week on workloads and productivity and to identify any other challenges that might result from the trial.

Surveys revealed that 77% of staff members worked less than three hours overtime a week during the pilot with 79% feeling positive about their workload overall. 100% of stakeholders agreed that the timeliness and quality of their interaction with the ARTRAGE team was the same as before the trial.

Feedback from staff and stakeholders indicates that the pilot successfully achieved its initial outcomes. Additionally, no performance issues were identified due to the reduced working hours, with productivity maintaining a pre-pilot standard of delivery.

The ARTRAGE Board are currently reviewing the results of the pilot, but early indications suggest that a longer trial will be implemented for the organisation after FRINGE WORLD Festival concludes in early 2022.
