If you are looking for the best interactive experience at FRINGE WORLD, then Perth’s Big Gay Games Night: Live Edition is perfect for you and all your mates. Brought to us every week during Fringe thanks to Perth Gay Social Club, be prepared to have an epic time together at the Court Hotel participating with the on-stage battle playing Pictionary, Charades, and Trivia, with gorgeous Fringe artists!

Ian the host created this as a hobby in 2018 and as it grew in popularity, it became a business / public service, hosting events like this since 2020 for the LBGTQIA+ and allies. It feels so good to get off electronics and back to traditional gaming modes.

Contestants every week will vary but probably be as exciting as this week’s:

Back Door Producer of Freak Show and Hit It;

Whiskey Amore-burlesque dancer of Arcana;

Manic Pixie Dream Girl’s Vanessa;

Cabaret Roulette’s Gavin “dolled up to nines,” and finally, Chris of, last season‘S winner of this event.

And here are the awesome games in which you and your mates have the opportunity to participate weekly:

Pictionary: Audience was fast and got most of the pictures.

Charades: no speaking! Just acting. The two girls clean sweeped this round along with Gavin, dressed like a girl. Maybe that is what brought Gavin luck!

Trivia: Audience can only yell out answers after contestants are given a chance. The LGQTA contestants get stumped with sports but the trivia could range from anything like pop culture to science.

Whiskey is the winner this week of this all-ages-welcome event. Our only complaint is that the hour goes by too fast so be sure to witness the Grand Finale on Wednesday, February 10, 7-7:50pm at the LBGTQIA+ Court Hotel. And then bonus: stay for Drag Factory right after!
