We all missed out on the 2020 Olympics last year and that really sucked. However, there is no need to worry because Not Sold Separately has brought us ‘The 2020 Isolympics’ to get through. From weightlifting to dressage, this show will cover your favourite events that you never got to see.

A performing quartet offered synchronised moves as they danced their way around the stage while they tried to appease the overwatching eye of their coach. A fight for the gold medal was about to start and no one wanted to place second. Each contestant was more desperate than the last to prove that they have what it takes to be crowned a champion.

Stories of success and failure are told, all in the pursuit of the shining gold.

The transitions between the segments of the show were a seamless highlight. The attention never left the main subject on stage, but everyone was constantly interested with what was happening in the background.

The real entertainment value of this show came from the expressive and exaggerated performers. These women were full of energy and gusto, ensuring that the crowd felt involved and entertained at all times. From a boredom contest to a scream that was sure to have originated in hell itself, there is not a dull moment to be found.

The 2020 Isolympics offered a quirky commentary on what social distancing has meant for everyone. Whether it was losing your job or slowly going insane while bouncing on a trampoline, this show made it ok to enjoy some of the darker moments of the past year.

If you have some time to spare in between Fringe shows, or you are just looking for something bite-sized to watch, this is the show for you!
