It's been less than a year since Magnet House opened its doors – and with the onset of FRINGE WORLD Festival, we've been able to see it in an entirely different light.

Serving as an impeccable venue for The Showhouse Presents '9TEASEFLIX', Magnet House was bustling on a weeknight with crowds gathered to feast their eyes on the fantastical performance to come. Featuring a montage of old-school flicks and anthems on screen, the club's atmosphere was hazy and the lights were dimmed on centre stage. Little did we know, it would be dance and cabaret with a tongue-in-cheek twist.

After a cinematic countdown, the show was off to an attention-grabbing start with the 20th Century Fox theme song welcoming in our all-female cast of dancers (also affectionately referred to as 'Honeys'). As its name suggests, '9TEASEFLIX' encapsulates a high octane show filled with killer dance routines choreographed to the most iconic movies of the 90s decade. What was most inviting of all was the infectious energy emanating from every performer.

Of the series of films, there was everything from Fight Club and Pretty Woman to Clueless and American Pie – all brought to life perfectly by a variety of both peppy and sensual dance styles. Whether you're admiring their jaw-dropping pole routines and burlesque chair dances inspired by the cult classic The Matrix, or keeping up with the Honeys' unexpected antics (including a red-hot rap segment and even a tap dance-off!), there's high entertainment value for all.

If you're searching for a positively charged show that will get you moving this FRINGE WORLD Festival season, then look no further. The Showhouse Presents '9TEASEFLIX' is bold, loud and will have you reliving the 90s in style. In fact, my only regret would simply be not be seeing this show sooner.
