James Hancox has been to Hollywood and back. This triple-threat performer has auditioned for the world’s most visionary directors, plied his trade on the silver screen, and tells all in this extraordinary biopic from the man who brought you last year’s Fringe hit “1000 Great Lives.” Join him as he reenacts his iconic career through the medium few actors dare attempt: a one-man theatre performance.

In the show Hancox guides his audience through vignettes of his impressive oeuvre. He is as fearless as a fighter pilot trainer; as menacing as the criminal patriarch who wants his family fun day to go down without a hitch; and as gruesome as a wicked gunfighter of the old west. His genre-blending work on a period drama crossed alien thriller will leave you on the edge of your seat and with tears in your eyes. No role is too big or too small for Hancox, whose career has impossibly spanned generations and defied every convention of every genre.

Chocked full of nods to major motion pictures, film buffs in particular will love ‘Lights Camera Hancox.’ But this show is not just for the movie-lovers. Hancox never lingers too long or too deep on any reference and scenes stand on their own. No film knowledge required.

He is an engaging and versatile performer that can transport you from one feature film to another with little more than a facial expression and clever use of a cheap prop - who ever knew a pool noodle could be as effective as CGI? He is also an impressive director, and casts his audience in a variety of supporting roles that bring out the hidden talent of even the shyest volunteer.

This is a once-in-a-fringe performance from a Hollywood insider who knows that hard work and determination can make your dreams come true, even the bad ones. Don’t miss it.
