They have done it again! Each year this talented mob bring us the Bard with a uniquely Aussie twist. And each year the show is even better. Can't wait for your next show in December then fringe again in 2025.

Whack on a flanno, crack open a cold one and get ready to experience Shakespeare like you’ve never seen it before!

This true-blue take on Macbeth opens not in gloomy Scotland, but at the Ellenbrook Cricket Club where trouble is beginning to brew. This reimagining of Shakespeare in the age of COVID is a world away from your high school English class!

Bogan Shakespeare Productions presents a hilarious blend of literature and comedy, accompanied by an impressive selection of flannel shirts. The show never takes itself too seriously, breaking the fourth wall to acknowledge the audience throughout. The five actors switch back and forth between characters, putting a familiar, Aussie spin on Shakespeare’s original cast (and even introducing a couple of new faces). A narrator dressed in a ruff and checked flannel keeps things on track, helping to balance the original version of the play with fair dinkum comedy. Literature lovers will be just as entertained as comedy fans!

Bogan Shakespeare condenses Macbeth down into an hour-long performance (no mean feat!) that will have you laughing the whole time. Their take on the Scottish-(ish) play is a breakdown of Macbeth that we all could have done with in high school; hilarious, accessible and true to the original. A classic Fringe performance, Bogan Macbeth is a quirky, irreverent and off-beat reinvention of the Bard that even your English teacher would love.

While Macbeth may have originally been a tragedy, Bogan Shakespeare Productions transforms it into a laugh-a-minute celebration of the best of bogan Australiana. With extra shows being released right now, Bogan Macbeth is not to be missed!
