Refreshing take on on how to present a show; should be required learning for any burly newbie, and punter new or old. Brilliant acts illustrating moving through the eras with plenty of charm, not taking themselves too seriously and keeping up the fun and entertainment while giving us a burlesqucation. Loved the comedy, loved the sparkle, loved the"I get that meme".💖

Well, who’d have thought it… Nicola Macri does have a voice from behind that video camera! And what a voice it is—witty, engaging, and, dare I say, rather sultry?

Nicola took us on a wild ride through the ages of burlesque, narrating a history she knows very well (having seen more shimmying and stripping than most). While she enlightened us with her knowledge, her fabulous backup dance troupe kept things lively with a series of dazzling performances.

And oh, the performances! Hilarity and a whole lot of skin were served up by the jaw-droppingly talented Kitty Littéur, Sodalicious, Bobby Apples, Lolly Moon, Flo Jangles, and Amelia Kisses. Each performer brought their own brand of sass, seduction, and side-splitting comedy to the stage, making sure the audience was very entertained—if you catch my drift.

Now, as a new burlesque performer myself, I found Nicola’s insights absolutely fascinating, and her passion for the art form was undeniable. That said, there were moments when I wished there had been more happening on stage alongside her narration to keep the energy flowing. With so much rich history being shared, a little extra visual flair in the background could definitely have made it even more dynamic. But regardless, the knowledge she imparted was invaluable, and I walked away with an even deeper appreciation for the world of burlesque!

The grand finale? An Ode to Ali! An absolute classic that had the crowd roaring with delight. And a naughty little surprise from Nicola! But if you want to know exactly what that all means, well… you’ll just have to grab your tickets and see for yourself!

This show is extremely cheeky, hilarious, and is full of rhinestone sparkle, so don’t miss out—there are only a few shows left! Get in quick before the tassels stop twirling!
