Ascending to the heavens of The Rechabite, the venue is already thick with people. It doesn’t matter that it’s a Tuesday night in Perth—Sinsuality’s 10-year legacy has built quite the reputation, and everyone wants to be a part of it.

As we enter, the music is pumped loud, stirring memories of frivolity, freedom, and fire from past Sinsuality shows. The opening number floods the stage with the force of a tsunami—a spectacle of exquisite costuming, powerful performances, and unapologetic energy.

BarbieQ expertly MCs the show—thank god she does, or the audience might be forever lost in the power of the acts. She somehow balances the energy of a bottomless brunch with besties (Sex and the City style) while simultaneously exuding the aura of a glorious glamazon you should fear and admire in equal measure. Watching the hilarious and heartwarming interactions between this long-established cast, who clearly adore one another, was a treat in itself.

Ruby. This pole-dancing goddess makes my brain explode. With effortless strength, creative characterisation, and sheer power, she sets the building on fire. The lighting and sound only enhance her presence—positively dazzling.

Sugar Du Joure, self-described as “The storm in a G-cup,” could not be more accurate. A burlesque powerhouse, she hones her craft with precision, humour, and captivating stage presence—plus, I have never seen anyone rock an ice-cream sundae outfit quite like this.

Sarah left audience members in awe with her superhuman stamina and strength. Her ability to move, contort, and twist defies belief.

Matthew Pope was utterly striking—a fierce yet delicate performer, conquering the skies with grace and precision in his aerial silk work. His performance was nothing short of thrilling.

Karl Kayoss—where do we even begin? From sweet-and-dandy milkman to kinky black latex vibes, Karl owns the stage with commanding presence, aerial prowess, audience banter, and impeccable humour. It’s almost too much for us mere mortals to handle.

This year, Sinsuality had to adjust from seven performers to six, following the loss of their beloved castmate, Bec. A touching tribute was made, and it was evident that Bec’s spirit was with them throughout this stellar performance.

Whether you’re looking for an epic pole-battle between heaven and earth, curious to see the “Sluts of Sloth,” or simply want to watch adults run around in shark costumes and onesies—this show is simply unmissable.
