Moorditj means “strong, great and good”, all words to describe the mob that presented during this comedy show. Fabion Woods brought together a great group of comedians to share their yarns and tell their jokes.

The show started off with a brief welcome to Country by Denince Kickett, where she got the audience to repeat a welcome to Whadjuk Country in Noongar.

This was followed by Fabion briefly acknowledging Australia Day before discussing how it would make more sense to change the date of NAIDOC week from the middle of winter to sometime warmer - mostly so the dancers didn’t freeze! Fabion did a good job introducing each comedian as they came on stage, with fun music and deadly dances. He joined each segment together with a segment of his own, usually relating the topics in some way, whether it was about family or sport.

It was incredibly valuable getting to hear from different Noongar people, as they shared their stories and perspectives, especially on Australia Day. The show also involved a healthy dose of audience interaction, with the comedians asking the audience questions, and even a fist bump or two! If you’re keen to be involved, I recommend sitting in the front row, especially as at the end of the show Fabian came and gave us all a handshake.

The target audience for this show seemed to be the older generations, as those in the audience found this show hilarious, while the younger adults (including myself) seemed to miss some of the jokes. However, I still highly recommend this show to adults both young and old.
