There’ll be butterflies, balloons and bubbles galore. There’ll be shadows and puppets and much much more! So if you have a little one under the age of three, this show is recommended for your family! Ok that’s just about enough rhymes from me!

Grab a seat near the front for the full Bubba-Licious experience but fear not, the performers make a real effort to make sure everybody is included by bringing props all the way around the audience and interacting with each baby that looks their way.

The only section we struggled to see from the back was the shadowy bit so if your bub is big enough, I’d recommend putting them on your shoulders for those few minutes. If your back can’t quite hack that, there are chairs to use at your disposal too! My little one and her baby mates were absolutely entranced the entire thirty minutes.

From the very beginning, the performers captured the attention of every bubba in the room. There were songs they recognised, some they didn’t and each little scene had them positively transfixed. Parents and carers were also encouraged to sing along and play along so it was a fully immersive and enjoyable experience for the whole family, not just the little ones. A great highlight for my bubba was definitely the butterflies. She’d never seen anything like them before and was absolutely entranced. This part made the show for us!

My only criticism would be that the show wasn’t long enough for my one-year-old. Each section could go on a little bit longer for my liking because she loved each bit so much, it was a shame when each one ended. However, for parents and carers of babies up to six months, the thirty-minute mark is probably just about right and my friend remarked that it was perfect for her two-year-old as he can only sit in one place for maximum thirty minutes.

Overall, a fabulous morning spent introducing our bubbas to Fringe and soaking in the wonderful Fringey atmosphere of Perth city. Thanks Bubba-Licious!
