A very classy evening with this late-night show at the Ellington.
After a 21-year career in the fabulous world of high-class fashion, designer labels, catwalk models and worldwide travels of Milan, London and the dizzying heights of Paris, Glynis certainly knows how to reminisce with gusto and enthusiasm about her Glamourous days through songs, wardrobe changes and hilarious anecdotes of her life as a fashionista diva. She outlines the highs and lows of fast fashion in a world which every one of us is subject to falling victim to with our insatiable love of new garments that we can never get enough of, whether it be the latest designer brands, lycra activewear, or a pair of ugly crocs.
Glynis' interpretation of this Glamourous World was hilarious. These memoirs were lovingly sung while her accomplice tinkered away on the keys of a piano. Who knew there were so many shades of beige? She heartwarmingly explained why it's so very important to wear the colour pink, with pockets of course.
It made me feel like I'd just returned from a worldwide travel trip of glitz and glam. I'm sure Sex & the City's Carry Bradshaw would give up her favourite pair of stilettos to have experienced what lovely Glynis has. Go and see this very funny show while you can. You'd be mad to miss it.
