In a world that often seems to rush by in a blur, two friends, Marilyn Moonroe and Sunny, with their charming variety show, remind us that it's okay to take our time and savour the simple pleasures of life. I was left feeling both entertained and uplifted after watching this delightful spectacle.

The show was an eclectic mix of circus performance, singing, and comedy (with some 'burlesque' that was more pun-derful than anything else). It was a wholesome, sweet, and well-paced performance that will warm the heart and lift the spirit of any audience member, young or old.

Laura and Jackson (aka Moonroe and Sunny) provide circus with character - far from the high-octane, fire-and-smoke productions you may see elsewhere at Fringe. Instead, it was an intimate display of skill and coordination that kept us on the edge of our seats with a healthy dose of laughter and charm.

In amongst the circus performances, the show is laced with sessions of singing and comedic routines. Their playful, childlike energy was absolutely infectious. Their original songs were beyond wholesome and will have your cheeks hurting from smiling so much. Once they start dancing, you can't help but laugh even further.

Beyond the raw talent, a highlight of the show is their amazing costumes and soundtrack – which included everything from Britney to 1960s Peggy Lee.

The beauty of this variety show lies in its simplicity. There was no flashy lighting and no extravagant sets. It was just two friends sharing their talents with the audience in the most genuine and heartfelt way possible. It will remind you of the pure joy of performance, of expressing oneself through art.

If you take away anything, it is that this duo's talent, passion, and camaraderie shone brightly throughout the show, making it a truly memorable experience. I certainly will look at pomegranates more fondly from now on (you have to go see them to know what I mean).
