Live, Laugh, Lesbian is a hilarious and charming show that explores the silliness and fun of lesbian life. This performance caters to queer and straight audiences alike, with a refreshingly camp take on lesbian everyday life from an Australian millennial perspective. Those that grew up during the MySpace days of emo fringes and MSN will no doubt enjoy this show, with reference to the popular teen fast fashion outlet ‘Supré’ and the concept of kissing your best friend for male attention.

The audience participation in this show is low risk, high reward and creates a general sense of ‘togetherness’ that bonds the audience and performer.

Some highlights include the opening ‘gaydar’ scene, David Attenborough and 78’s sketch. A favourite was the incredible drag performance to ‘Pretty Woman’ which left the audience squealing with laughter.

The Parlour at the Pleasure Garden is the perfect venue for this intimate show. If you attend this show, be prepared to cheer and laugh and sing your way through.

This show is perfectly paced and executed, with an array of queer music and TikTok sounds accompanying the performances and costume changes between sets. Each of the talented performers gets their own space to shine but work equally well together, with genuine chemistry. There’s a lightness and ease to this performance that feels like watching three of your lesbian friends perform stand-up in your living room after a few drinks.

There’s something in this show for everyone and feels like it encapsulates the heart of what FRINGE WORLD is all about.
